In the whirlwind of the past five years, Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) has exploded into the spotlight, captivating fans from all corners. Picture this: tournaments teeming with a dynamic range of participants, anywhere from a modest ten to an electrifying 100,000 players. Now, strap in for an adrenaline-fueled ride as we delve into the heart of a Draft Kings Showdown, where the action never sleeps and the stakes are sky-high with a mere $20 buy-in. But wait, there’s more! This battleground is reserved exclusively for Sunday’s gridiron gladiators, where every move counts and champions rise to claim their glory. With a wallet-busting $50,000 salary cap, contenders must craft their dream team of nine gridiron warriors: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 11 Flex, and 1 DST. Are you ready to seize your moment in the spotlight? Welcome to Draft Kings Stack Hunters (Week 3).
Stack Hunters Strategy
With players growing more familiar with DFS tournaments, they’re actively seeking tactics to gain an advantage. Among the crowd favorites is the “QB-WR stack” strategy, a powerful maneuver that doubles the thrill with quarterback-wide receiver synergy, amplifying points whenever the receiver hits paydirt. Eager to elevate your game? Join me as we explore three tiers of stacks, each offering options at varying budget levels. Brace yourselves for the Draft Kings Stack Hunters (Week 3).
The High-End Play- Cowboys vs BAL
Dak Prescott, Cowboys (13.2 PPG) $6,600
CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys (16.3 PPG) $6,600
The Dallas Cowboys stud duo would be a smash start for those who could afford the lofty combined cost of $15,400 if it weren’t for the fact that the Baltimore Ravens are not an ideal matchup. Having said that, the Ravens looked more than beatable in Week 2 when they were defeated by the Raiders and are a solid play with a combined projection of 29.5 fantasy points. The Cowboys have yet to hit their full stride but are due to explode any day now. Pay up on the Cowboys and hope that this is the week they finally get things going at full speed.
The Mid-Range Play- Buccaneers vs DEN
Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers (14.7 PPG) $6,000
Chris Godwin, Buccaneers (25.0 PPG) $6,500
The fact that this stack is a mid-range option is ridiculous. The Buccaneers have been an excellent offense with Baker Mayfield taking his game to a whole new level. This stack comes for $12,200 which is $,200 cheaper than the Dallas stack, even though they have outproduced Prescott and Lamb to this point in the season. If you want to pay up for big names with big upside, go with the Cowboys. If you want an absolute steal in value at a discount, hammer the Buccaneers in a prime matchup with a terrible Broncos defense.
The Low-End Play- Browns vs NYG
Deshaun Watson, Browns (14.1 PPG) $5,500
Amari Cooper, Browns (3.9 PPG) $6,100
This is one of the scariest stacks of the week, to say the least, but this week’s value stacks have extremely limited options. Watson and the Cleveland offense have been bad through two weeks, but I don’t believe they are this bad. They come at a combined cost of $11,600 and have a projected total of 18.0 fantasy points. The Broncos are their Week 3 opponent and that makes me willing to buy into a Browns bounce-back stack. I’m willing to fire up Watson and Cooper if I am working with a limited budget in hopes that they can put up a solid week in an excellent matchup.
