2024 Exclusive Sneak Peek: Jawhar Jordan, RB Louisville
Welcome to the Exclusive Sneak Peek: Jawhar Jordan was a 3-star prospect out of Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona. He originally committed to Syracuse in May of 2017. After a few years he entered the transfer portal to join Louisville in August of 2021.
Jordan did not get much opportunity in 2 seasons at Syracuse. He had 43 attempts for 177 yards & one touchdown. Jordan did show some ability in the passing game with 7 receptions for 121 yards in those 2 seasons.
In his third collegiate season, first with Louisville, he only saw 14 touches for 94 yards.
His fourth collegiate season would become his breakout season. He became the lead back for Louisville with 142 carries and 815 yards with 4 touchdowns.
However, in his final year of eligibility he continued to improve. Again as the lead back he saw 181 carries for 1,128 yards with 13 touchdowns. Of the 1,128 yards, 577 were yards after contact. Plus, he saw 21 receptions for 246 yards and one extra touchdown.

Scouting Reports
Strengths
- Patient runner that awaits for his blocks before hitting the holes quickly.
- Cuts effectively. Plants his foot & presses off to burst into his speed.
- Not afraid to take a hit or take a block by picking up the blitz.
- Elusive runner that has agility to cut between defenders and avoid some tackles.
Weaknesses
- Tough RB, but is not breaking any tackles with a stiff arm.
- No breakaway speed. Once he hits top speed there is no second gear.
- Undersized back at 5’9 193lbs that can get bullied by some defenders when asking to block.
Pre-Draft Analysis
Expected Draft Capital: Round 6/7
Ideal Landing Spot: Houston Texans
Yes, the Texans just signed RB Joe Mixon. I fully expect Mixon to be the 3 down back. Yes, the Texans still have Dameon Pierce. I fully support Pierce, but he does not have the quickness or elusiveness that Jordan has.
Knowing those 2 RBs would probably be ahead of Jordan I still think Houston could benefit grabbing him late in the draft. He becomes a possible change of pace type of back. Something that Dameon Pierce is not, and even as a 3 down back Mixon will need some rest. Insert Jordan. A player that could step in to give Mixon a breather and become a benefit in the passing game, if not 3rd downs.
