Quarterback Matchups

Week 6 QB Matchups

Must Start: Caleb Williams is my must-start quarterback for Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars who rank as the best matchup for quarterbacks and allow 23.1 fantasy points per game. After a slow start to his rookie season, Williams has come on over the past two weeks rising to QB21 overall. Williams is part of a trio of Bears I have as must-starts this week in the juiciest matchups. The Bears should score at will and provide Williams with a statement game early in his career. Look for Williams to post a mid-range QB1 finish at worst, this could be the first week in which he legitimately challenges for the QB1 spot on the week.

Must Sit: Trevor Lawrence is my must-sit quarterback for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears who rank as the second-worst matchup for quarterbacks and allow only 8.8 fantasy points per game. Much like Williams, Lawrence started slow but has picked up his play over the past few weeks. A solid Week 5 performance has helped him rise to QB19 on the season. His upward momentum over the past two weeks has been due in part to easy matchups and high-scoring games. This week, however, he will struggle once again as he faces a Bears defense that has locked down quarterback production to this point in the season. Lawrence will struggle to maintain his QB19 ranking in this one.

Running Back Matchups

Week 6 RB Matchups

Must Start: D’Andre Swift is my running back must-start for Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars who rank as the sixth-best matchup for running backs and allow 24.0 fantasy points per game. Swift was awful during the first three weeks of the season and yet sits as RB17 overall. His RB17 ranking should serve to illustrate just how good he has been over the past two weeks. Swift has seemingly taken over the workhorse role in this backfield and has become a reliable pass-catcher in a rapidly improving Bears offense. He is a prime sell-high candidate after this week but should be able to post another RB1 finish in a prime spot.

Must Sit: Zamir White is my running back must-sit for Week 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers who rank as the third-worst matchup for running backs and allow 15.6 fantasy points per game. White has been possibly the biggest bust of the fantasy season to this point, failing to produce during the first month of the season and missing Week 5 due to injury. In week 6, he figures to struggle once against against the Steelers who are a death sentence to running back production. At this point, White is droppable.

Wide Receiver Matchups

Week 6 WR Matchups

Must Start: D.J. Moore is my tight end must-start for Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars who rank as the best matchup for wide receivers and allow 37.9 fantasy points per game. Moore was incredibly consistent, but not spectacular over the first four weeks of the season before breaking out in a big way in Week 5. He completes my trio of Chicago Bears weapons that figures to dismantle the Jacksonville Jaguars. A scenario in which three Chicago Bears finish as the top scorers at their position this week is not out of the realm of possibilities. Moore has WR1 overall upside this week.

Must Sit: Ladd McConkey is my wide receiver must-sit for Week 6 against the Denver Broncos who rank as the second-worst matchup for wide receivers and allow 16.2 fantasy points per game. The Chargers have been incredibly inconsistent this season and that’s highlighted perfectly by McConkey who has two boom weeks to go along with three bust weeks. Not only will he face a brutal matchup with the Denver Broncos this week, but as the Chargers defacto WR1 he figures to be shadowed by Patrick Surtain who shuts down even the best of receivers. McConkey is a risky start in the best of scenarios, he is an absolute must-avoid this week against the best defensive back in football.

Tight End Matchups

Week 6 TE Matchups

Must Start: Kyle Pitts is my tight end must-start for Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers who rank as the fifth-best matchup for tight ends and allow 10.7 fantasy points per game. Pitts has been one of many inconsistent tight ends this season, two solid performances with three bad ones mixed in. This is inherently the nature of the position. The Falcon’s offense has been coming along slowly and looks to be finally hitting their stride, that combined with a great matchup makes Pitts one of the safest starts in an unsafe tight-end landscape. Pitts is my pick for TE1 overall this week and is a must-start.

Must Sit: Dalton Kincaid is my tight end must-sit for Week 6 against the New York Jets who rank as the second-worst matchup for tight ends and allow 4.1 fantasy points per game. In a world full of disappointing tight ends, Kincaid might be the most disappointing, and yet he sits as TE12 on the season. Much like every other tight end, he has two good games and three bad games on the year. Unlike Pitts, Kincaid has an awful matchup this week with the Jets and is a desperate start at best. The position is brutal and you may have no choice but to start him, but you should lower your expectations.
