Rookie Profile: Trey Knox, Tight End, Minnesota Vikings
Welcome to the Rookie Profile: Trey Knox, a 4-star recruit from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, attending Blackman High School. After high school, Knox became a Razorback, committing to the University of Arkansas.
Knox’s college production doesn’t indicate anything special. Neither do his measurables. However, it is possible he can stick at the next level if he can build upon his solid pass blocking and continue to be a plus-option for quarterbacks in the receiving game. Knox is also a very good athlete. As a former national high jump champion in high school, Knox can high-point the football well and potentially develop into a nice red zone weapon.
Knox will need plenty of development at the next level, but it’s possible he can become a solid piece of an NFL offense in time.
Measurables
Draft Capital & Landing Spot
Draft Capital- Undrafted Free Agent Acquisition
- In a largely lackluster TE class, Knox was not one of the 12 players drafted at the position. Although he was signed quickly by Minnesota post-draft, it is telling that projects Jaheim Bell and Devin Culp were drafted to NFL squads over him.
Landing Spot- Minnesota Vikings
- Knox is buried in Minnesota. Even Nick Muse showed promise last season, while the team added veteran Robert Tonyan. It’s not looking great.

Fantasy Impact
Unfortunately, Knox has little room to make the roster, let alone stick and find fantasy relevance. Leave him on the wire.
