Welcome to Fan Duel Fanatics (Week 3).

Sunday Millions

With players growing more familiar with DFS tournaments, they’re actively seeking tactics to gain an advantage. Here we will highlight a player at each position that we think is a great value in the Sunday Millions. Remember that these values should not be played together in one lineup, but rather to be used to save cap space when combining them with the more expensive studs.

QB1- Kyler Murray, ARI vs Lions

Murray and the Cardinals got things back on track in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams and he had the best fantasy week he has had in a long time. In Week 2 he goes up against the Lions who are vulnerable to quarterbacks both in the secondary and on the ground. It’s no secret that the Lions struggle to stop rushing quarterbacks and should allow Murray a minimum of 50 rushing yards, giving him a safe outlook for this week. The weak Lion’s secondary, paired with a breakout of rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr and third-year tight end Trey McBride adds an elite ceiling to his high floor. He comes at a cost that is $500 cheaper than the top quarterback option on the board and offers excellent bang for your buck.

RB1- Zamir White, LV vs Panthers

White has struggled to get things going on the ground through his first two games as a starting running back. Alexander Mattison has also stolen passing downs work which is why White has been a total bust so far. I’m not a huge believer in White, but a Week 3 matchup with a Carolina Panthers team that looks awful should allow him to get back on track for at least one week. White is $2,700 cheaper than the top option at running back and is a solid value play. If he fails to produce in this matchup, it’s officially time to label him as a bust and move on in your fantasy leagues.

RB2- Josh Jacobs, GB vs Titans

The Green Bay Packers are going to struggle to move the ball through the air without quarterback Jordan Love, but in Week 2, that was to the benefit of Josh Jacobs. As a result of Malik Willis starting at quarterback for the Packers, Jacobs saw an insane volume that is nearly unmatchable. Jacobs is $1,400 cheaper than the top running back in the pool and against an average Tennessee Titans rush defense he should have enough volume to make up for a lack of touchdown upside.

WR1- Marvin Harrison Jr, ARI vs Lions

After a brutal Week 1 of his NFL career, Marvin Harrison Jr went off in Week 2 and eased the nerves of managers who drafted him. Despite an absolute monster performance in Week 2, he comes $1,800 cheaper than the top receiver in Week 3. This week, I chose to stack him with Kyler Murray to give a little extra lineup upside against the Lions who have been torched in the passing game and are nearly impossible to run on. If the Cardinals stand a chance of winning this game, they are going to need to see a heavy dose of Murray to Harrison Jr.

WR2- Chris Godwin, TB vs Broncos

Godwin was the forgotten man in the Buccaneer’s offense during draft season, but with the emergence of Baker Mayfield as a legitimate top-12 quarterback, it appears the Tampa Bay passing game can produce two elite receivers. This week, Godwin is $2,700 cheaper than the top receiver on the board, which is a nice discount given his matchup against the Denver Broncos who are an epically bad defense. Mike Evans figures to be shadowed by Patrick Surtain which should allow Godwin to run wild all day and record double-digit receptions.

WR3- Jameson Williams, DET vs Cardinals

After two years of injuries and suspensions, the former first-round pick has announced himself to the NFL and has been on fire to start the 2024 NFL season. Despite his breakout performance to start this season, he finds himself $3,000 cheaper than the top receiver option this week and is an absolute steal in a game I’m loading up on between Detroit and Arizona as it figures to be a shootout.

TE1- Brock Bowers, LV vs Panthers

Bowers has quickly found his way to the top of the tight end rankings after two solid performances in a downtime for tight end production. His reward for a solid start to the season is a matchup with the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. The Panthers have allowed points at will to both squads they matched up with and Week 3 will be no different for the Raiders. He comes $900 cheaper than the top tight-end options and is a great value at the position. He should produce at a level even to, or even above the tight ends that are more expensive than him.

FX1- Najee Harris, PIT vs Chargers

I went to the Najee Harris well last week and while he didn’t hurt you, he wasn’t great either. The Steelers are far from a high-flying offense and are keeping the ball on the ground, so if Harris can see a modest workload against the Chargers he should be a decent flex. This isn’t an upside pick, but he is $2,300 cheaper than the top flex options and is a decent value at his discounted cost.

DST1- Browns DST vs Giants

The Browns may not be the most expensive options on the DST board, but the are close to. They are $100 away from being the most expensive DST, but when it comes to DST you are best to just pay the extra cost as there isn’t a significant difference in cost between the top and the middle. The reason for that elevated cost is a matchup with the New York Giants who have looked bad, at the best of times. Cleveland is an elite defensive unit and looks primed to tee off on Daniel Jones and the Giants in Week 3.
