Draft Capital & Landing Spot
Draft Capital- Round 3 Pick 36
- Kinchens was one of the only impressive safeties in a weak defensive back class. He is far from a finished product but day two capital is a good sign. This investment means that the Rams see his potential to be an every-down player in the right scheme and role.
- Round three draft capital isn’t a resounding vote of confidence, but it’s certainly better than the rest of this safety class got. He may not be a league winner, but he is a decent upside pick in IDP rookie drafts.
Landing Spot- Los Angeles Rams
- The Ram’s defense has fallen off significantly since their Super Bowl run only a few years ago. Despite his flaws in athleticism, he should have every chance to make this roster and eventually develop into a consistent player for Los Angeles.
- Don’t expect a quick return on your investment or even a home run, but if you are patient, he can develop on your taxi squad into a solid NFL player.

Fantasy Impact
Kamren Kinchens entered the pre-draft process with high potential, but a disappointing combine performance impacted his draft stock. Standing at 5-11 and weighing 203 pounds, Kinchens recorded a 4.65-second 40-yard dash and a broad jump that ranks in the seventh percentile among safeties.
Despite his lack of athleticism, his on-field performance impressed, earning him first-team All-American honors in 2022. With 11 interceptions and 26 pass breakups during his career at Miami, Kinchens has demonstrated instincts and coverage ability. However, his transition to the NFL will be closely watched, especially considering the athleticism gap
Kinchens is a player to watch, although he will likely take some time to develop and become an every-week fantasy asset.
